GoCart allows you to create custom pages for your website. This guide will walk you through the process of adding and editing content on a custom page.
Before you can use the Custom Page Editor, you will need to first create a custom page. If you need help with that, please refer to the Custom Page Management Guide.
From the GoCart Settings Page, navigate to the "Pages" tab. Next to the page you want to edit, click the "Page editor" button. This will open the GoCart custom page editor in a new tab.
The editor page is made up of 3 main sections: The Tab Bar, The Tool Bar, and the Page Editor.
The Tab Bar is located at the far right of the editor page. Choosing a new tab will update the Tool Bar content.
The "Content" tab contains all the main content components you can add to your page. This includes text, images, carousels, and more.
The "Blocks" tab contains layout tools for arranging your content. You can position content side by side, and have it automatically stack vertically on smaller screens.
The "Body" tab contains settings for the overall page design, such as text alignment, text color, fonts, link color, etc.
Drag items from the Tool Bar area to the Page Editor area to add them to your page.
When the "Blocks" tab is selected, you can drag and drop alignment blocks to the page editor area. Use Blocks to arrange your content using the predefined layouts.
When the "Content" tab is selected, you can drag and drop content blocks to the page editor area. Use Content to add text, images, carousels, and more.
You can change the text of your website by clicking on the text block and typing. You'll notice that when you click on a block of Content, the Tool Bar is updated to show the available options for that content. For instance, if you click on an image, the Tool Bar will allow you to upload an image into that content block.
Continue adding and customizing content until you are happy with the page. Each block of content has options you can experiment with.
When you are done, click the "Save Changes" button in the top right of the editor page. This will save your changes.
Click the "Close Editor" button to close the tab.
If the page is published, and you have "Featured" or "Show in site footer" checked, you will be able to view the page by clicking the link in your GoCart website.
To help make your custom page look like a part of the overall site, some of the styles will be overridden. For instance, any headings you add will match your GoCart website's theme, which may be different than what is shown in the editor.
