Watch how GoCart evolves with our changelog.
GoCart is a fairly young Stripe Extension App for building ecommerce shops using the data already in your Stripe account. We receive daily feedback from our users and we're always working to improve the app. Here's a list of the most recent changes.
All the text generated by GoCart (such as buttons, labels, navigation, etc) can now be set to a selected language. This feature doesn't translate product or category data, but those are editable by you, the site owner. So now you can have your entire website in one of 10 languages. Let us know if there's a language you'd like to see added.
You can now enable 'Maintenance Mode' on your site. This allows you to block site access for visitors so that visitors don't see incremental updates as you change things around (like reorganizing products into new categories). For instance if you want to update your logo, colors, and featured products all at once for a Halloween sale, you can enable maintenance mode and make the changes. That way a visitor doesn't see some your site half-changed - that's embarrassing :)
We've updated the onboarding process to be more user-friendly. Previously, after installing GoCart, you needed to subscribe to access any settings. Now you can access all the app settings, themes, product editors, etc, but the site is locked into maintenance mode until you become a subscriber.
We feel this will help users better understand GoCart and if it's the right tool for them before they ever need to enter their credit card information. Sure, we'll get fewer people paying us because they forgot to cancel their trial, but we see that as a good thing.
